NEW: 6 Module Confidence To Return To Practice Course
Introduction
This exciting and comprehensive 6-module course is designed to support dental professionals who are preparing to return to practice following a career break, or who are completing—or have recently completed—the ORE.
Specifically tailored for busy practitioners, the programme is delivered across six separate training days to allow flexibility and maximise learning.
Overall Course Aims
- To support clinicians in building confidence and competence in readiness to start or return to NHS practice.
- To provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space for learning, reflection, and professional growth.
- To update participants on current clinical guidelines, regulatory expectations, and contemporary dental practice.
Overall Course Objectives
The course acknowledges the unique challenges faced by returning practitioners and seeks to provide a comprehensive, evidence-based programme that facilitates the reacquisition of clinical skills, consolidation of core knowledge, and reinforcement of professional confidence. Through a combination of didactic teaching, practical workshops, and peer-led discussion, participants will engage in a reflective and supportive learning environment that promotes safe, effective, and contemporary dental practice. All of the modules have been carefully designed to cover the main subjects required to return to work successfully and with confidence:
- 3 days of face-to-face lectures
- 3 days of intensive hands-on training
Module Titles As Follows:
- MODULE 1 – Thursday 29th January 2026: NHS Dentistry – Practicing Within the Rules, Regulations & Dental Assurance Framework (Face-to-Face Lecture)
- MODULE 2 – Thursday 26th February 2026: Ethical Foundations of Dental Practice – Consent, Transparency, Confidentiality, and Record Keeping (Face-to-Face Lecture)
- MODULE 3 – Wednesday 25th March 2026: Evidence-Based Dentistry – Clinical Guidelines and Case Presentation Standards (Face-to-Face Lecture)
- MODULE 4 – Thursday 16th April 2026: Clinical Skills in Indirect Restorations – Preparation Techniques and Material Selection (Hands-on Training)
- MODULE 5 – Thursday 21st May 2026: Temporisation and Luting – Techniques for Indirect Restorations (Hands-on Training)
- MODULE 6 – Thursday 11th June 2026: Contemporary Direct Restorative Techniques – Composite and Amalgam (Hands-on Training)
