New GDC 2018 Development Outcome Coding: A/C

This course is to provide delegates the confidence to safely carryout dental impressions using alginate material to the prescription of the clinician. This course will start at 09:00-16:00 hrs

Course Objectives:

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

  • Identifying the legal and ethical issues that could arise when taking an impression: Consent
  • Listing the importance of taking a good Medical History
  • Demonstrate and acknowledge the principles of taking a good impression: Tray selection
  • Describe the significance of disinfecting the impressions

 Course Overview:

The course will take place in two locations: LonDEC’s world class training centre and St Thomas clinic.

In the Am session, students will be inducted with a series of presentation slides, consisting of theory and resources that will provide the student the foundations of carrying out the procedure.

This will be followed with, an afternoon of Practical activities. Students will be opportune to rehearse skills that will demonstrate their ability to safely prepare, carryout and dispatch an impression to the dental laboratory.

The early bird price of £75.00 includes comprehensive course notes, a certificate of completion from LonDEC/Kings College London, 6 hours verifiable CPD and refreshments throughout the day.
