This innovative and interactive Four Module course focuses on: selection, planning and restoration of simple implant cases. The course is designed to encompass all aspects of restorative implant dentistry of simple cases and offers support and mentoring throughout the Four 1 day Modules.

Learning Aims & Objectives:

  • To introduce implant treatment planning into general practice.
  • To provide participants with the knowledge and skill set to identify simple and complex implant cases.
  • To provide participants with a support structure to deal with more complex cases.
  • Recognising when to refer and to understand their own role in restoring complex cases.
  • To encourage dentists to confidently offer implant treatment to their patients by acquiring both theoretical and hands on (phantom head) skills to allow restoration of implants in their own practice.
  • To provide participants with the skills and support necessary to treatment plan basic implant cases in such a way as to eliminate hidden complexities and to know when to refer the case.
  • To provide participants with a support network to facilitate their progression though implant restoration and into the future.
  • To introduce both analogue and digital pathways for restoring implants.
  • The course is aimed at mastering restoration of single implant, linked implant crowns, short span bounded implant bridges and mandibular overdentures.

Each Module takes place at LonDEC. Please see https://www.londec.co.uk/directions/, and registration is at 9:15am and the course starts at 9:30am. Expected finish time is 4:30pm.

Each participant will receive comprehensive course notes, a certificate of completion from LonDEC and 24 hours verifiable CPD.

Adam Slade

Dr Adam Slade started his implant career in 1989 and has worked as a Prosthodontist for more than 10 years, having been awarded his M. Clin. Den. Prosthodontics in 2004. He spent most of his career in private dental practice before focusing his abilities on more complex reconstructive cases. In addition to his highly developed skills in implantology and prosthodontics he has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry and advanced restorative care treating referral patients at his practice in Harley Street.

Adam qualified from Guys hospital, London in 1986. He held staff positions in maxillofacial surgery and in 1991 he set up a private practice focusing on restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Throughout his career he has continued his postgraduate studies and in 2004 he was awarded Master of Clinical Dentistry, Prosthodontics by London University having studied at King’s Guys and St Thomas’ Dental Institute. Over the last 20 years he has worked with several implant systems, regularly attends courses internationally and gives presentations on both Implants and Prosthodontics.

Adam has a keen interest in the evolution and integration of Digital dentistry. He authored the digital dentistry chapter in the recently published and highly acclaimed ‘Practical Procedures in Aesthetic Dentistry’. He uses digital intra-oral scanning in his own practice alongside analogue methods on a daily basis. In addition to being a key opinion leader for Biomet 3i and 3Shape Adam is privileged to be a tutor for the London Deanery lecturing on treatment planning and restorative dentistry.
