An MI Approach to the Management of Tooth Wear in General Dental Practice - October 2014
Postgraduate Dental Course
This one-day course will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm and provides participants with an understanding of the aetiology of toothwear. Attendance on our restorative dentistry training and tooth wear courses will ensure that delegates can follow restorative management protocols to predictably manage the clinical problem.
Developing an awareness of latest operative developments in direct treatments for worn teeth, this course will help delegates understand the latest technology in dental adhesive materials and the principles behind simple care planning of tooth wear cases.
Delegates will be shown, and have the opportunity to practice, a technique for producing highly aesthetic anterior & posterior direct composite restorations using the latest generation of materials.
Participants are encouraged to bring along study models for wear cases they are currently treating so treatment planning options can be considered and discussed.
At the end of the course delegates will:
- Appreciate the aetiology of tooth wear
- Be able to appreciate the importance of recognition of tooth wear
- Be able to identify the shapes of various types of tooth wear Be aware of how to monitor and prevent tooth wear
- Be aware of various treatment options
- Appreciate the advantages of a non invasive approach to treatment and management
- Appreciate and practice the use of modern materials for non invasive treatment of tooth wear
The early bird price of £175.00 includes comprehensive course notes, a certificate of completion from LonDEC/Kings College London, 6 hours verifiable CPD, lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
