Biography

My academic background includes a Dental Degree  with Honours from the University of Rome. This was followed by a year abroad at University Paris Descartes and a year at McGill University where I completed and published my thesis in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.

This paper was selected as one of the most relevant in 2017 by the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0022391318308357) and has been cited over 113 times (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0022391317304250).

I have also completed a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (DClindent) in Prosthodontics at Queen Mary University of London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from the same institution. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member and examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

I have received several awards, including the SCAD VITA Award for Excellence in Research in Chicago, first prize for best presentation at the CARDP annual meeting in Montreal and the prestigious Schottlander Award, which recognises the best research project in the field of dentistry in the UK.

I have published three papers in leading Prosthodontics journals:

Additionally, I have extensive teaching experience, having held positions as a clinical lecturer in Prosthodontics at both Queen Mary University of London and University College London- Eastman. I have been teaching for the Higher Education Academy for seven years across London (Queen Mary University of London, King’s College Hospital, University College London, St George’s Hospital, Croydon University Hospital and Londec).
