Contemporary Global Trends in Clinical Dentistry & Future Perspectives is the focus of new CPD training from DentAlliance – a partnership between King’s College London’s Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences and 3 other prestigious Dental Schools from the U.S., Australia and Singapore.
DentAlliance is a collaboration of four prestigious dental schools with each bringing their world-leading expertise to enhance professional practice in dentistry. Together, we present a program that delivers global insights into contemporary trends in clinical dentistry and future perspectives.
This exciting program features engaging content, practical case studies, hands-on training, and clinical insights from a range of experts. Examine the latest in emerging trends and innovations in the dentistry, alongside topical discussion and live Q&As.
This half-day face-to-face workshop covers the practical elements discuss in the webinar:
Digital Planning for Esthetic and Functional Success
- Fundamentals of digital capture, planning and communication
Speakers will review the basic principles that guide the digital process and discuss how it can be applied in clinical dental practice. Particlar emphasis will be given to understanding the pocess and indications of 2D and 3D digital smile design. Strategies for effective digital communication among the dental care team will also be discussed.
- Clinical applications of digital dentistry in prosthetic, implant and cosmetic dentistry (patient-based presentations)
Speakers will use patient-based presentations to demonstrate how to employ functional and esthetic determinants in digital case planning. Furthermore, the use of additive manufacturing (3D printing) and other frequently utilized digital tools in esthetic diagnosis will be discussed, with particular reference to their role in better patient outcomes in prosthetic, cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Hands-on Workshop Introduction
The main aim of the program is to equip participants with tools, tips and techniques to incorporate digital technologies for easier and more predictable practice.
Aims and Objectives
- To determine participants level of experience utilizing digital capture and design
- Using selected cases as standardized examples, the small group discussion will be conducted in a question and answer format designed to illustrate and reinforce the topics of the lectures
- To engage in hands-on practical exercises using 3D casts, scanners, trial smiles and veneer preperations
